Consultation

We need your input to empower the guidance of the Down Syndrome Act. Take part in our consultation. All information gathered will be treated in confidence and no names will be published in the findings.

Consultations close 8th November

Our consultation will gather information to input to the Government's call for evidence. We want to offer some different perspectives to the questions the Government is asking.

The NDSPG consultation is in three phases. In the first phase we simply ask for your views across the five areas of healthcare, education, employment, housing and social care. For each of the areas we have a video to help you get a sense of what we would be interested in hearing about. The phase one consultation can be accessed by the following button:

In the second phase we would be grateful for your views on the fives areas, but this time we ask more detailed questions. We have broken each area out into its own questionnaire, so you can choose which to complete. Some areas may not be relevant for you

Wherever possible, we would like to hear the views of people with Down syndrome. We recognise, however, that certain areas are more appropriate to be completed by a parent/carer. If you would prefer to take your time to complete, each questionnaire is available in PDF to print out.

To be completed by professionals who help people with Down syndrome

The third phase will draw on the information from phases 1 and 2 and will take the form of focus groups of people to discuss experiences and expand upon what we have heard.
